Student Collaborations: Creating World Music

We invite your high school students to join others to create global music using their skills of writing lyrics, playing an instrument, or singing beautifully. We will enable them to join other students from schools throughout the world to create collective pieces. Through the wonders of Kompoz we will be able to let students post individual tracks and allow different students to add their own creations to the final piece. During the Megaconference Jr we will give the students the opportunity to hear the final mix, talk about their experience, and discuss what it’s like to see a piece of music come to fruition.

During the past few Megaconferences we’ve had lots of fun giving students from different states in the US, from China, Slovenia and Canada the opportunity to work together to create and share their inspirations and creativity. It’s very important that someone in the music department at you school be “on-board” with this project as they will likely be mentoring the work the students are doing.
